TfL Connected Cities

Transport for London (TfL) is part of Connected Cities, a project across ten countries disseminating information on improving quality of life in cities through sustainable mobility. Carbon Descent assisted TfL in the management of their role in the project, in particular through the organisation of a highly successful London Conference in September 2007.

Promoting car-free London

The conference focused on Travel Demand Management and looked at the soft measures used in London to reduce car use. Four days of the conference were in London, highlighting the London Freewheel and Car Free Day. Twenty five European delegates all enjoyed their visit to London and the South East and the event was considered to be the most successful of the showcase conferences organised up to that date.
